Sponsored Themes .. apparently Evil from hell!
Do I really want to give my two cents into this issue… after all that has been said and done over the period of a month?
guess not!
But it was absolutely fun to read what others had to say about that. let me get them the linklove and in-return, get some track backs too. i mean, after all, that is what the issue is all about. Backlinks.
I mean, if i have to think about all the backlinks i’ve received from the wordpress themes that I’ve made… google must be thinking I am also a spammer. But even beyond what ever google backlink theory says, the practicals seems to be the opposite case.
but well, rather than writing a flaming post here, opposing the “opposition against the sponsored themes”, cause I am a designer my self, i should just leave you readers to the people who has said everything that has to be.

There are many free web hosting services that are providing free templates to setup your business but with limited functionalities. For search engine optimization you must have good theme as well as marketing edge for your website. For successful internet marketing online you should have good business idea. If you are running dynamic website for online store so online backup is required for your website. To get cheapest domain name you can search online through websites. You must be thinking wireless internet how has changed way of doing business. With changing technology business hosting cost is negligible.
actually, (and i’m not sure why i didn’t think about this before), google is quite capable of ignoring links in the #footer, where technorati isn’t. most reasonably popylar theme authors wind up getting removed from technorati. google, who matt seems so dead set on protecting, is quite capable of ignoring the links to wordpress and the theme author, or the ads placed there.
hi there,
I do hate sponsored themes as well and wrote two articles about that, if you care you can give it a quick read and eventually add them to the list of opposers.
the recent article which I wrote this morning is located http://www.h4×3d.com/theme-ethics-part-2/ and some kind of follow-up on my old article from march at
http://www.h4×3d.com/theme-ethics/
I hope your blog doesnt break the links, since there is a yet unfixed bug about numeric domains. (http://trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4116), which should be fixed by release 2.2 this month.
best regards and best wishes from germany,
yours jez

hi,
I don’t know where to comment on your theme goan beach 2c so i just decided to write here.
The comments do not display. But they show up in the admin panel/manage/comments and will be displayed only after clicking view comment. Some of my commenters are wondering where their comments went.
